SunCrest Alpacas - Testimonials
I have been assisting Shelley with the birthing and care of crias for the past couple of years. What an
exciting and rewarding experience it has been. I have found the alpacas to be so fun and easy to work with.

My name is Alyx Rodriguez and I am a senior at High Tech High. I have been volunteering my time for my
senior project at SunCrest Alpacas for the last three months. I used to think that alpacas and llamas
were the same. Thanks to Shelley Chase, I now know differently. These past three months have opened my
eyes because she opened her heart to me. I've never had any experience working on a farm, but she is a
sweet and caring person with a lot of patience and is always willing to answer my questions no matter
what. Working with these animals is something I would have never done on my own, but I am thankful I
have. The farm is beautiful and the animals are usually on their best behavior. I don't think I
could have picked a better senior project. This has been a great experience for me.

I have known Shelley for a long time because we both grew up in Quincy together. She is a very caring
and fun person to be around. It is obvious that the alpacas are a priority for Paul and Shelley. They
invited me out to watch the animals being shorn. It was very interesting. I enjoyed it because I have
taken a class in spinning wool and this gave me a chance to see the beginning of that process. I have
done some knitting with their yarn and really enjoy working with it.

As a Veterinarian, it is always a pleasure to come out to the SunCrest Alpaca Ranch. No matter the
reason for my visit or the time of day, it is always nice to open the door to such a clean and well
kept facility. I know that their animals are a top priority - they never hesitate to call me with
any health concerns. All of their alpacas are well cared for from top to bottom, inside and out.
I would recommend a visit to SunCrest Alpacas to anyone interested in any aspect of alpacas.
